Sandy Blackburn has noticed something changing in how people give.

For decades, donors gave to the brands they knew — the names their parents recognised, the ones with visibility and history. But as Sandy shares in this episode, that's shifting. Younger donors in particular aren't asking "have I heard of you?" anymore. They're asking "what actually happens when I give?"

It's a question that used to take months to answer — bouncing between annual reports, impact statements, and a fair bit of guesswork. Sandy's work with Social Outcomes and Impact Culture Australia is about closing that gap: helping organisations show, clearly and simply, what their giving actually creates.

As Sandy puts it, people don't have time for things that don't work anymore. They want their giving — like their work, like their time — to be meaningful.

What would it take for you to trust an organisation enough to give without hesitating?
