We’ve designed a four-step process that’s simple, fair, and collaborative — so you always know what’s expected at each stage.
We start by confirming your charity’s eligibility and alignment with our purpose across our five impact areas:
We also confirm your registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and review basic governance details such as your constitution, finances Annual Information Statements, and Board structure.
Next, our team conducts a background and due diligence review to ensure we have a full picture of your organisation.

Our team reviews findings, focusing on red flags and risks. We use a risk matrix to assess likelihood and impact using Friendship Tree’s risk appetite statement. This ensures that any potential risks are clearly understood and mitigated before we move forward.
Once complete, eligible charities are formally invited to join Friendship Tree as an assessed partner.
